Facebook is well considered the largest social network. Facebook allows business’ to create pages to contain and display information about different collections of people, whether’s it’s a a company, charitable organisation, cause or person. You can share and distribute a range of content including photos, links, statuses, and videos. In fact, research by Quintly found that photos were the most common type of content posted, whereas Video (representing only 3% of overall content) is 62% more engaging.

Interestingly, pins with prices on them get nearly 40% more likes, repins, and exposure. This makes it a network almost perfect for a small business.

With 310 million monthly active users and 1.3 billion accounts, twitter is a big player in the social media sphere. Twitter creates a great social space where individuals, celebrities, companies can all have access to each other and often show the inner working or behind the scenes that otherwise wouldn’t have been shown. With 80% of users having mnetioned a brand in tweets and users feeling more positive when a company interacts with them, twitter is a great place to build individual relationship with your customers. In the last 2 years alone, there has been a 250% increase in customer service conversations on twitter.
